Well plan B went Boom. Don't know why, broke straight across at mid limb.
Skipping the tri-lam plan C will be just Bamboo backed Osage.

Shipped mine today.  ******* will have to post pics,  I didn't take any.  Made the string too, and as mine hold on my swap bow, I'm sure it will hold for him.

The upper limb needs a bit more work but I am way above the target weight...plenty of wood to play with..

I will say that yew and bamboo make for a very light bow in the hands..

Looking good everyone!  I just started a new job today, so the swapper has been put on hold for a few days. I ran into a small problem that has held me up a bit. I'll get some pics up hopefully after this weekend.

Been busy since my second set of trade bow limbs delaminated.  Here is where I'm at now.  Decided to start completely from scratch.

Riser is walnut and wild pecan.  Limbs are some pretty colorful hackberry.  One limb out of oven and cut to length, one limb in oven tonight.

Here are a few pics.  Looks like I'm gonna be late this year.  I hate late!!

Looks like I`m going to use a plan B to; the hybrids 3pc conversion doesn`t do like it`s supposed to...

the p-lam wedge made it a whip and really hard chore to brace also I`m not confident with the TD mounts    :(  
Looks like I`ve to go back to something finished like my previously shown 62-64" R/D or use one of the unfinished from stock- and pay the extra fees for overlength....

Beach. hackberry is normally a white wood.  Grows everywhere around our parts.  I got this from Kenny a couple months back and ground the lams myself.  It has a lot of color.

I got my new glass in and 2 new risers done. I should get them both glued up by this weekend so the best one can go out next week. I sent you a couple of emails and a pm's, Kelly, but didn't get a reply on my update.

It could have been, but I think everything is looking much better..right now its sitting right in the middle of the target weight range @ 28"....
Its all sanded down to 400, with a steel wool burnish..

I am undecided on the finish/stain.. Any suggestions?
The specs are:
68 tip to tip, just over 66 ntn..
Xx@28"...bamboo on yew..
The new uni-bond 800 makes for near invisible glue lines..

Wrapped handle or stitched?...

Personally, this bow hurls heavy arrows with gusto. I will have photos of the target up later.

I still have inset the arrow plate and rest, but that will have to wait until I return from Oregon on the 8th.

I will have to make its twin as soon as I can, I really enjoy how this bow feels and shoot.

Finally made up my mind and chose one that was already finished;

It will of course get a personal writing for the recipient, some more coats of tru oil, a new string and be shipped by the end of the week- really hope he`ll like it as I consider it the very most suitable for his/her favours/demands....

Ed.: the weight was first measured wrong and also I chopped a lil`...
