Yesterday was a day of working in the shop on bows, helping neighbor and son with pinewood derby, trip to the dump, fixed the door ajar switch on my old truck by disconnecting, cold patch on the neighborhood road, finishing bows, plenty of beer and watching the Seahawks.  Not a bad day.

No work today, but found a run in the final coat of one bow.  Poked fun at how small Kenny's new 3hp, 500# tablesaw is.  Cooked a late breakfast for the kids.  Trying to oversee my daughter on homework as she tries to not do it.  Need to pack for the hog trip in GA later this week.  Nice day with snow coming tomorrow, need to get outside.

I wrapped up my Hill build I've been working on.  Completed pics are on that thread.  I also made an armguard.

Worked on a tri lam today. Got to thin the new boo tomorrow since I split the one about four inches down the center of the tip. Will do a dry run once that is completed then off to glue up.

Finished the second bow late last night.  In a bow sock for the trip to GA later today.  Will post pics when I get back next week.  With any luck, one will have a dead pig in it.  (Crap, I just jinxed myself, didn't I?)

Shovelled out the cars this morning, have a meeting at work I have to be at and then I'm gone!!!!

good luck David- never hunted pigs- too cold up here- just love the pig hunting threads.

Justin, cut that boo in half and save the good piece. You can glue two pieces together to make a bow someday.
Cold and windy here, hauled in a load of wood.

Dump it down into the trap door on porch down into wood shed. Then I can access it from inside where it's warm:)

Thanks for the video Martin. How did the finish turn out ? [/b]
@goobersan
Finish came out great, but to gloss so I used steel wool 0000 to get the right finish (picture is before steel wool)

Did a little surfin' on the net to get ideas for jazzin' up the trade bow a little. You know, different tips/tip overlays. Found one design that was intriguing. Now if I can figure out how it was done.

Maybe elm, maybe osage core, John. Got some of each.

Man just took my first tri lam out of the clamps and woo wee I love it! Took the curves very well and can't wait to work on it some more tomorrow. Been making a ton of glass bows lately and although I'm gonna continue making them this bow has definitely fueled my fire to get me back into these wooden bows.... Ton of thanks to Roy as usual for all the input with his knowledge! Hopefully will get some pics up tomorrow once the handle is shaped and glued on!!! Night all

Well, I'm a few days behind on this thread. Lol. In the past week or so, I've gotten both limbs for my 3pc T/D cooked and shaped, glued up the tip overlays, cut out the riser, and shaped and fit everything together. Just need to do a little bit more fine tuning, finish sanding, and apply the finish. Hopefully I'll get some arrows through it and pics up soon.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.
