    Well I'm kind of grumpy right now.  My recipient should have received his bow by now but apparently hasn't.  My wife took it to the post office on Monday and said that the girl behind the counter didn't seem to know what the heck she was doing with a package like that.  When I check the tracking number online it says it was acepteded at the sorting facility in Mingoville, PA (about 5 miles from my house) on 3/11 and no other information.  I've never had a problem with USPS before and they've always gotten items to their intended destination before the expected delivery date.  So it looks like I'll be giving them a call on Monday to see what's up.

Well, if it was coming to Alaska, you should probably add 3 days to anything the post office told you..

My plan "A" is tillered out to 24"..
Only 4" left...it will be right at the target weight, but it is a pain to put a string on..
I will probably send a bow stringer with it, just in case xxxxxxx doesn't have one..
I am going to dye the bamboo either black or dark green...or maybe if there are some suggestions for the color....
Flat silk will be wrapped at the static tips for some contrast, but if anyone has a good idea for the handle...I am kind of tired of the sewn leather standby that I usually use..

Oh John, didn't I tell you?  That showed up on Tuesday.  But since it had Roy's name on the package, I just thought I'd keep it quiet....

Ha ha....You know it wasn't for Roy.  It has a draw weight >20#

As of this morning, USPS tracking still says it's still in Mingoville PA.  It's probably leaning in a corner of a some back room at the Post Office.

I was worried mine wouldn't make weight- got it on the scale today and it's within range. Here it is at full draw- the last 10"s gain like this on the scale- 2.5#, 2.5#, 2#, 2#, 2#, 2.5#, 2.5#, 2#, 2#, 2#. It's time for final sanding and finish.. hope I'm not tempeted too much to take it spring turkey hunting to "field test it"..

Christen that babydoll for me.   Smear some blood on it and leave it on there when you ship it to me.

Looks good.

Well I got to work on my trade bow for the last couple of days now and figured I would post some pics of what I got. I would love to hear what you guys think about it.

MJ, there is just something real sexy with all wood bows. Looks fantastic, your gonna make someone REAL happy with that one.

MJ...the right limb looks a little stiff coming out of the the fade. A couple of scrapes between the 1st and 2nd lines from the top would help.

Bows look great everyone!  It appears that bows are being completed earlier than last year...not sure what the current stats are.

I completed tillering and final sanding on two and a half "kid" wood bows over the past couple weeks (Osage, hickory, and ash)...wanted to get back in the zone before I get too far on my trade bow...feeling really good about completing an A+ bow!  Plan to start tillering he trade bow this evening.  I will get some picts up soon.

I wanted to scalp (beaver chew) the limbs on one of the bows I just completed but chickened out!  All three bows turned out great and I'm hesitant to potentially damage one with my experiment.  The bows will be sent out to the kids of some of my friends.

Good luck all!

MJ, looks good to me.  Have you shot it yet?  Sometime tiller changes a little when they are shot a few times.
