Well I've been working on my swap bow. Had alot of stuff to do before I could get to any real byuilding. R/D form, grinding lams etc.

Settled on making a 3-piece mild R/D longbow. Shooting for a final length of about 66"-70".

Limbs are hickory backed Jatoba with Shedua core and hickory wedge. backing and core are tapered. belly lam has slight taper but will be tapered during tillering. Hopefully things go well. One limb is off the form and glue lines look pretty good. 2nd limb is coming off tonight.

Working on finishing up the takedown jig for drilling limb and riser holes. Couldn't bring myself to spend $65 for Binghams jig.

Riser will get glued up tonihgt. Hope to tiller and have photos this coming weekend.

I haven't posted in a while because of selling my house and buying another one. I've been working on my bow every chance o get. Got it bending on the long string and getting close to brace.

I have a note from the post office saying that an insured packaged was attempted to be delivered today while I was away. I'm waiting on a couple of other packages, but perhaps...could it be?  Tomorrow morning will tell!  :)

Thanks you very, very much for a fine bow and arrow, Kevin! I truly appreciate your work and look forward to carrying it through the woods in the near future!  I really like the story behind the osage, too.  It even has a bit if tiger striping to it, which you don't find very often at all.  I'm also a sucker for brush nocks.  Nice touch!  Those aren't easy or quick to do, but you did old Nels Grumley proud!  Again, FINE work, and thanks a million!  I need to get my rear in gear and get my finished up, now! It's very, very close.

Thanks for the kind words, I am glad you like it. After it was finished, it was very hard to put it in the tube..ha.

Hope it does it's job well.
