I just can't wait to read this thread every day.  So much nice work being done and building great camaraderie between people that have never met.  I hope I can get close to the high standard that is being set.

Thadbow: I happen to like that natural-colored maple...very attractive.  It has great contrast with the other materials you used and will really pop with some finish on it.  But, you said "28 inches with plenty of room..."  Alas, my scrawny little arms only pull 26".   :)
That's ok, I like to think I pull 29 or so, but I agree on the natural maple!

Wow!  Been away from the computer for a few days and lots of bow shipped.  Those take downs are gorgeous!

Update on my knotty stave.  I almost have it to profile.  It has been slow going.  All those dang knots.  I will take some pics tomorrow in the daylight and post some pics.  I have high hopes for the knotty rascal and hopefull a little surprise for the owner.  We'll have to wait and see.

Notin in the mail for me today either.  Maybe they are running a little late.

I have about two days worth pot tattoo on mine. I went with the words Iti Tanampo. To go with the simple effective design I used and also where the new owner lives.

Laminations are osage and walnut, just like the handle.
Have not decided on whether or not to add some moose antler overlays.

I am truley amazed at some of the inginuity, style and art of these bows being made.  I can see in the future I will need to kick it up a notch.  Fabulous work everyone.

Saw those types of nocks on a bow in a collection down in Oregon...thought they would be a nice addition to all of the crazy nice glass bows being made..plus all the awesome snakeskin backed selfbows..

Very nice work, Kevin.  I've done a few brush nocks and they both look nice and achieve their intended purpose...to keep brush from snagging between the string and tips.  The last set I did looked very similar to yours.
