Cameron, looking very good!!  What are the woods?

cunruhshoot

The veneers are osage and birdseye maple - the core wood is bamboo - the riser is osage with a special walnut stringer. I used some osage for the nock overlays. I am still debating adding a riser overlay I really like the look right now with out. I am thinking of adding some Paduk overlays to the belly side of the riser.

Very nice, Cameron! I love your wood combo!

I wish I could take credit for the wood selection - but this one was all Troy Breeding...He choose the wood combo and made the spliced lams for me

I'm so bad.. My Buddy has been bringing his 13 year old son over to hunt my property. The first hunt he wounded one in the shoulder, we tracked it and lost blood as the wound must have closed up. Last night when he shot, the doe jumped the string and his arrow flew over her back. So his dad text me that, I said tell him I'm gonna tie one up for him. So I grabbed my doe decoy and tied her up behind the bow shop. When they came up from hunting and seen it, they busted out laughing:)

LOL - Tie one up for me too.  I need it the way my season is going.

Roy, I bet you were a pig-tail puller in grade school, too!!! Great one, Roy!

I feel your pain John, my season has been ridiculous also. Seen a total of 11 deer within bow range.

4 really nice bucks, and 6 does ...

First buck I saw last weekend I missed a shot that I later paced out at 43yards ... seemed alot closer at the time. Second buck was following him. That was in NY.

Then saturday I got busted before 1st light by a doe, then had 5 does literally almost run me over in my blind ... only 1 stopped ... 5 feet from the blind. I waited for her to walk off to get a clear shot and be able to draw, she sprinted away, never had a shot. Moments later the two big bucks that had been chasing the does came by at 20yards ... instead of move in the blind and take the shot ... I decided to wait, thought my scent drag would bring 'em around to a better shooting angle ... they just kept walking right by ... no shot taken.

On the plus side they never knew I was there, and I know I'm in the right spot. It was on public land so I can't complain having that kind of action the first day out. I have a feeling this is going to be my year to take my first good buck and first trad deer .... a part of my hopes that'll all happen at once ... but then I'll be hooked for life so I'll be the guy out there during rifle season with a selfbow.

Roy, let me know how those work out. They are really great looking arrows!

Lee, cane arrows fly so sweet! Natural balanced FOC weight and nock end tapered shafts!

Got the wood burner chimney up yesterday, come on winter:) Guess I should remove the window AC unit now:) LOL
