It wasn't running right, took it in to be checked out. They offered me 6 thousand on trade in and couldn't pass it up. I paid 10 thousand for it 18 years ago. And they had zero % interest loans.

Roy I don't know if you can handle it do I need to bring my truck to haul it home for you.

Getting 6 G's for it after 18 years is a heck of a deal! Hopefully, you'll get at least that much service from your new one.

My wife and I went to Cabela's today.  I bought feathers, she bought a Smith and Wesson. didn't balance out!    :archer:

LOL Stan. I have bought my wife guns. She carries a 380 auto, and has permit to carry, and has a sweet flint lock for Hunting. And she shoots a double barrel 12 gauge real well:) Heck she even shoots a longbow, and fishes.. That's why I love her so much.

That sounds like a good lady Roy. Does it hurt when she pinches your lip like that tho?   :p
(I say that because I am jealous of your new tractor)

Congrats on the new tractor and the great wife.

Roy, Belinda often out shines me at deer hunting and always at fishing! Fortunately she hasn't asked for a bow yet!  Oh, her new gun is a .380 semi auto. Now she wants a concealed-carry permit!!!

Now about today!  Started out by visiting the
Native Amarican Museum in Bentonville, AR. They havE a very impressive arrowhead collection but limited bow display. However, it is well worth a visit if you're in the area. Next we toured an art museum called Crystal Bridges. They had an interesting George Washington display and some great American artists work on display.

The only request I made on this trip was to visit Pine Hollow Longbows. Since it was on the way home Belinda said,"Okay."
We met Mike Yancy and one of his customer/students...The student was from Israel! He came over on business and scheduled a class with Mike as a bonus. What do ya'll think about that?

On the way home, Belinda asked what my favorite part of the trip was. I told I didn't know, what was her's? She said watching how excited I got the closer to Pine Hollow we were!
Thanks for letting me bug you, Mike. I enjoyed it a lot.   :archer:

I spray finished a 66" longbow last night and added the rest and string this afternoon.. I called my friend and asked him to bring his son over, I asked him a couple months back if I could build his son a bow and he thought he would like one ..So I gave him this 30# at 28" bow for his 11th birthday present. He is a little over bowed so he will have to work into this one, I will look for a used 25 lber this week end for him to use until he develops his "bow muscles" I camo painted the back and belly glass,I left edges and riser bare wood and then sprayed 4 coats of satin clear over the whole bow. I gave his dad one of my homemade recurves 3 years ago so now they both have trad bows..
