QuoteAnd another thing I cant figure out is why a guy would put all that time into a bow just to shoot it full of holes in the first place?
Prolly cause the tiller was off...

DVSHUNTER

Today I bought two bottles of tru-oil. Wanna see what all the fuss is about with this stuff. If it turns out bad, I'll dig some worms and catch me sum carp and put fish skins on em like ole Keenan does:)

How many bows can ya finish with a 3 ounce bottle anyways?

kennym

Today I mowed the back yard, shot my hickory backed osage bow for a while, finished tiller on two red oak board bows and shot both 3-4 dozen times. Then I heat straightened 21 river cane shafts for arrows.
Oh, yeah! I finished a book I'd been reading.

Sounds like a lot, but the yard's small, the bows were almost tillered anyway, and the river cane had been tied in a bundle and were fairly straight already.

Yesterday I finished the tiller on my trade bow. I've shot it over 50 times and it feels great.
I'm trying to decide what to do for tip overlays.

Tonight my student did his first grip lacing.

And here is my latest BBO project. I am making this bow for some old fart in Missouri, goes by the name of Kenny M:)

vanillabear?

Roy from Pa

3/4 inches wide. I fugger Kenny has a little bigger hand, so I made this one a little deeper than I make my own bows, it's 2 inches deep. Bow is about 56 pounds now, should end up around 52 when all done.
