had a cyst removed from my wrist. SOOOOOOOO not shooting, arrow smithing, bow making for a bit.
I may go out and ride the roads and see if I can find me some road killed snakes for their skins. while I heal.

Dan Landis

Kelly, with the price of gas the way it is, you might be better off buying them. LOL

Definitely a good way to pass the time till your all healed and back in the shop.  Hope all goes well for ya.
Make sure their dead before you pick em up....Dan

KellyG

Dan the problem is finding them not all mangled up. I seen a big one hit last weekend. I did not even have to get out of my car to see it was tore up to bad to be of use. I plan on taking the kids out fishing tomorrow I hope the big long nose gar are swimming my be I can get a fish skin that is what I really want. I bet that fish has skin that is tough enough to not only be a pretty backing but provide insurance.

Dan Landis

Kelly, don't have gar in my area, good luck with them though.  Most of the snakes I see hit on the road around here are usually pretty mangled also....Dan

BrushWolf

Shipped my trade bow out today! Time to start planning the next project.....

Someone is going to hit the jackpot on that one BrushWolf, fantastic job!

Mike Mecredy

Today, I finished installation of the Motor in my wife's Saturn.  I worked on it here and there a little at a time over the last few weeks and finally got it done.  Seeing her so happy when I took it to her office made it worth every busted knuckle and smashed finger.

Looks like a beast Scott. I went mushroom hunting today and put some finish on plan b for the trade again then chased a ring and worked a stave down to bearable dimensions, then laid out a walnut stave and cut it out., plus Händel on the first trade bow that came in under weight.

I tried to make some flint flakes that did not work with one hand at all. So I planted a tomato upside down.

After much scouring of them interwebz I have discovered that (i think) my new saw was made by Walker-turner for Craftsman in the late 30's or early 40's. they are supposed to be good saws, so here's hoping.

apparently it was worth the $40 I paid for it. lol

Eric Krewson

I played with a new toy I got for the front of my little tractor.

A friend who doesn't eat much deer meat wants his freezer cleaned out. He has 11 inside tenderloins from last year(he is  deer killing machine, donates most of what he kills to Hunters Feeding the Hungry), guess I will help him dispose of his leftover deer meat later today, YUM!

scrub-buster

Eric, I bet that front loader would make it easy to load some logs into a truck bed.  Or carry a deer out of the woods.  Have fun with it and eat some tenderloins for me.  I ran out of deer meat a month ago.
