I got my TD sleeve glued on last night. Checked it with a string this morning after the glue set and was happy to see she was lined up through the center of the handle.

Bigbob, check to see if you can use imported snakes that do not occur where you live. You might be able to use them.

Jk, I hear you, but like you said, at least their beauty won't go into the trash. Also, no anacondas this time around, but I do stilll have two big skins here. :   :goldtooth:

Finished my bow I named 2nd Chance... Finished the leather wrap tonight. It is my first time trying one like this and it came out alright. My next one will be even better.

I will get finished pictures tomorrow when I get out of work!

DVShunter I haven't checked as yet but my understanding is for one to have snake skin in possession one must have applied for a permit and get the run around from about 4 different government departments. Still, people are importing chinese cheapos with 'snake skin' backing, off fleaybay with apparently no worries.
BCWV looks like great alignment with your take down!

Cleaned up a few glue joints on my latest set of spliced veneers. Next thing will be to cut and sand into true veneers.

Dang, Troy. I thought I was getting something special with my first spliced veneers.    :notworthy:

That is a good idear that, though. Maybe I'll glue up a bunch when I'm done with my trade bow. Then ill have them for future use. That's also a great way to use up shorter-than-useful pieces.

One of two things will happen; it'll either work or it won't.

Joe,

Exact-a-moondo,,, had several pieces of material that had bad spots or were just too short for normal veneers or lams.

I just posted them on my thread at the Sponsors Classified and did some repricing on just about everything.

Cool veneers Troy B. I have been sick all week, I finally went to see the Doc today..I got a shot, a breathing treatment, amoxocillen and some kind of anti coughing pills..I have 8 risers in shop waiting on me to shape, cant do it with the 99.5 degree fever, body aches and crazy coughing spells. Kenny is sending me a stack of black glass, some smooth on glue and some amberboo tapers. gonna be super busy the next few weeks, I only build bows after my day job..These will be my first Black Glass builds, I have always used clear glass with pretty veneers.

I just finished up a couple quivers for my kids. I don't have to carry their arrows at 3Ds anymore      It is kind of funny watching them try to manipulate arrows in and out of back quivers.  They'll get the hang of it.
