Well today marked 19 years of being married to my wife. We celebrated it at our pond. Nothing finer than a great wife that loves the outdoors:)

Roy Congrats bud I hit the same mark on the day after yalls.

Today though I put in for a FT Riley Elk tag. Man an elk tag would be great. There are two types any sex and cow only. The any sex is a once in life time tag. The cow is a once every 5 years if you get drawn. And I tell you there are some record bulls here. I think they only draw around 45 tag every year.

Just back from the weekend shoot/camping trip. Great time, great place to camp and the three 3-D courses were the best I ever shot.

Shot that longbow all weekend Kenny, at least 80 targets. Never missed a target through the first 30 course. Then missed 2 on the second course, but it was getting dark and well, I was having a little trouble navigating:) My wife and I have  never shot so much together.. Now my A$$ is dragging..

Everyone thought the bow was awesome Kenny and they all had to shoot her ya know.. Some more than once:) They all said it's a flat quiet shooter.. Thanks again Bud..

After finally making up my mind on how to proceed, I applied carp skins to my bow.  Took it slow and they went on without probelms...hope they turn out okay!

Well I went out and cut some red osier dogwood for making arrows or horse trading. I cut 24 today.

I have some more that are dry and ready to take the bark off but that will have to wait.

Finally took the plunge and glued up my first riser block and stuck it in the oven. At work now and hoping it is ok when I get home!
