Has any one used this on glass laminated bows?

Is it any good or are there better rub on finishes out there?

Although I don't make glass bow I use oil finishes on selfbows and one I use that works well in rub on poly by minwax and I also make up mixes that have several oils in them and I have seen the antique finish at the ace store and wondered the same thing. Probably if you have some put a coat on some heavy paper and see if it resists cracking after it dries and if it doesn't it will probably work

I wouldn't think an oil finish would work on a glass bow but I don't know because I don't make them. Only wood bows.
You might try TradGang. They know glass bows inside and out over there.     Pat

Crimson has a good idea there for testing. If that works, probably would only need 1 or 2 coats on the glass??

THAT FINISH HAS TO BE ABSORBED BY THE WOOD FIBERS, GLASS IS IMPERMEABLE SO IT WILL NOT WORK ON A GLASS BOW. IT COULD BE USED ON ALL WOOD BOWS THAT DO NOT HAVE ANY SURFACE FINISH (POLYURETHANE, VARNISH, SHELLAC) BUT THERE ARE PROBABLY BETTER CHOICES WHEN IT COMES TO WEATHER ISSUES.
