My first wood arrows

Hello everyone. So late last year sometime I decided that I wanted to look into traditional bowhunting and I found this site. With some help from members on here I got my first bow and decided that this was the kind of hunting I really wanted to do.
I knew that if I was to get serious about hunting with a recurve that I wanted a black widow and wood arrows. Just something about the beauty of wood that I love. So I ordered a new pch v. Its 56" and 52 @ 28. I got it a couple weeks back and have been shooting a ton with it.
With some much needed help, I decided to start building some arrows. Pat (Tater) helped me a ton in selection and even tapered the arrows for me. He has also given me a lot of helpful advice along the way. He definitely made the process a lot easier and faster for me. This site seems to be full of great people and never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for all the help you have given me Pat. I truly appreciate it.
So anyways, here is my bow and the new arrows that I have been working on for it. They aren't professional, but I'm happy how they turned out for my first time.
Sorry about the sideways pic.

Jake,
You can bet the deer won't know the difference. Very nicely done.

I make my living as an artist but I just can't justify the time and energy needed to shoot works of art. Particularly the way I go through arrows! The cresting is beautiful but it doesn't make the arrow fly any straighter. This is just my personal style. I do drool over some of the custom woodies out there.

They are much prettier then mine, and I been doing my own for years. You should be proud. It will be cool sliding one of them you made through a rib cage, right?
Im like some of the others, I just dont care to spend time making art. I make arrows, so I can shoot them into bone and flesh, targets, each other, and rocks and trees now and again. For the most part, im the only one who is looking at them.

I used to build mine very plain. A seal coat, Fletch em and shoot em. Nowadays I have more time and dress them up a bit. None of mine looked better than yours.
I too like your Fletch profile. Did you purchase that shape or cut or burn them.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. I cut these myself with a chopper. The feathers came from turkeys that my family and I killed this spring. The shafts were Sitka spruce with a dark walnut stain. I can't wait to shoot them. I'm going to try out my grizzlies on them this week to see how they fly.
