I and maybe some more trad shooters from DK would like to have an opportunity to try, see and feel as many different bowmakes as possible. It does not matter where it is or what time of year.
The Idea is to try as many bows brands as possible for the pure fu nof it and to better choose where we will use our hard earned money next time we get the "itch"    :readit:    :D

Which show or arrangement should we go to ?

Kalamazoo Trad Expo the last weekend in January every year.

I love ETAR, but I think KZOO has many more bowyers ans is specifically set up for trying out bows.  Kalamazzoo Michigan the last week of January. Gerry Brumm from Great Northern Bow company was one of the main players, you can check his website

Not a shoot but trad shop Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear. I have never seen so many bows in one shop.

Etar I guess    :bigsmyl:

The place where most top bowyers have booths/stands or whatever its called is what I am looking for...it doesnt have to be a shoot... Would Etar fit that bill?

Jack..yes I actually considered that... Would just like to meet The bowyers also

K-zoo is great and is probably the largest indoor traditional expo in the U.S.  ETAR (Denton Hill) is bigger by far.  Besides lots of bowyers, there are several folks dealing in used bows.

You can try out bows at both.

You can fly to Kalamazoo and only have a short drive, weather permitting.  Not likely flights will be cancelled for ETAR, but the closest airport is around 2 hours away as best I can remember.

Thanks guys, Etar sounds great
Highlow, it will be 2017, to much other stuff in The schedule this year..

Late juli as it looks like etar is, is not the Best time for me.. Is there any great opportunities in april-june ?

And if we should end up going to etar.. Is there a website where you can see wich bowyers are coming ?

J Compton is a easy 1/2 hour drive south from kalamazoo and is the weekend of fathers day, this year is June 17,18,19. plenty of bowyers, you would get a good work out trying one from each bowyer and it would be possible to do, just tell the bowyer you want to try it, and step out the back of the long tent to the test range and shoot,  not to mention Saturday used bow sale. Its a great time and plenty to do besides shoot a bow.

J the compton info is on tradgang website should be able to find out anything you want to know, long list of bowyers and vendors.
