The thin grip is proper IMO, Howard liked it for a reason..If you've got thin boney hands you can toughen up by breakin boards with the heel of your hand... karate style..   :banghead: ....

Life is like a wet sponge, you gotta squeeze it until you get every drop it has to offer

From my years of being a four color printer, handling heavy slippery paper, I developed very muscular hands.  What doesn't kill makes you stronger they say, perhaps that is why I can play my classical guitar as loud as I do, but it also helps when shooting sharper grips.  I prefer my own slightly asymmetric grip, it is sharper to the thumb and slightly softer to the palm.  I don't believe that shooting should cause pain or injury for those that do not have the hands for it, it is no fault on their part. I have tried to get boney handed guys to get into the sharper grips, but in some cases there was just no way for them to get past the pain in the palm.

It's about to go 700 pages. I still click and read daily. Good stuff.

So do I Bud. Don't say much just try and read and learn.  I wonder if I will be first on Pg 700.

New to me Sunset Hill arrive today, 61# @ 27" and 66" long string follow.  A real sweet bow.  I will post pictures later, maybe tomorrow. Nate does make a beautiful bow. Very nice finish and I love his straight hill style handle.  A big shout out to Nate!

This new Sunset now has a place next to my Schulz American Longow and my two Howard Hills.  I hope this makes the wait for my David Miller Hawk a little easier.

JohnHV

Thanks.

It is the first bow I've bought custom made to my specs and shooting preferences.

It makes a difference!

Of course it's taken ~ 10 years for me to figure out what my preferences are...
