Yesterday Killie set down her crutches, picked up my 68" Owl with cocabola riser, and proceeded to march her away to the center of the target in 3 or 4 arrows.  She turned and said, "Well, I guess I've got it zeroed in now.  I think I'm gonna like my new bow."  Her smile looked about like this:

How many of you Hill shooters are going to the Longbow Safari this year?
Registered last month.  Should be there on Thursday for set up.  I want to hear your stories, Rik.  I rarely get time to stop by.

New to me - a dandy, gorgeous, and accurate companion.

I have looked at this bow since it found a spot on this thread many, many pages ago.  She is kinda on loan for now as she was made for a good guy back then but will be his again one day when the timing is right.  He knows where she is and can call her home when the time is right.

Until then, I get to play!

The myrtle is stunning....almost transparent.  The tempering of the bamboo is gorgeous and she shoots like a dream.

Here is Kai Kai, my little boy.  He will introduce you to the newest and coolest...

THAT'S the most beautiful bow I think I've ever seen.

Bob B.

Has anyone ever shot a JD Berry Vixen, I am curious about how that bow would rate with a Northern Mist, Hill or Sunset hill bwow.

Well....da bears are back!  Had a miserable weather weekend in the high country.  Blizzard at 8700 feet...rain and snow and cold....no bear sightings while sitting on the ridge,  but.....the trail cam showed mucho activity mostly in the early mornings  requiring a change of stategy.  At least five bears coming in..a couple of brutes, one of those is a big chocolate with a white patch on it's chest.    Ooohhh boy howdy!  Gonna spend some days up there next weekend and can hardly wait.  Will show some pics later.  The longbow is itchin' for a showdown..... ;)

Mudd

I love your pictures Tony!

They prove that one's stable need not have huge numbers in it, especially when it's filled with the likes of your blue-blooded thoroughbreds.

Help please. How do you folks determine the value of a bow you put up for sale on this site. like what makes a bow a 8 out of 10 etc. I have a Pete George long bow that I am thinking of parting with. It is used and hunted. Thanks! Tom M

I'd say a 9 would have just a little use wear,1 or 2 small scuffs scratches.8 would be more small scuffs/scratches but nothing deep or big,and so on down the line. a 10 would be as new. What's the length, draw and grip of your bow? I'm very interested on it and would like to see pics.

Craig would have a record of what he sent you for strings I would bet, and someone experienced might be able to tell you by looking at the material.

For standard though, he ships a Dacron string with his bows and if it has not been specified.  Also, you could probably tell by price.
