Darren, you can count on that!

Sticks...that quiver was made for me a few years back by Art Vincent.  It is his standard "hunter" model.

Ben...Me too!!  She is a sweetie...

Awesome, thanks Tony. I knew I'd seen one like it before but I couldn't place it. Looks great!

I have the Chi Chen riser and limb tips on a T/D hill, I will post a pic tonight. It's a medium dark  brown wood with some light lines in between growth rings, but its pretty cool. It does not have the character of some premium bacote or myrtle, or at least not as much, but I am sure not all cuts are created equal. I am very pleased with how it looks with yew(male) Limbs on a half breed. It has a dark (carmelized) core of bamboo.
How do you like the takedown? I need to order one from Craig and am a bit wary of the grip size!

Got a call from Dave Miller yesterday and it appears that "the one" will be ready for pickup this Sunday.  Assuming everything goes to plan I will drive up to Lebanon and get a little instruction from Dave on my new bow.  Its a 70" Tomcat with Stringfollow limbs.  Brown glass on both sides.  70# at my 30" draw.  Tempered Boo limbs with a Myrtle riser.

Ordered it back in August after I had one of his bows i bought second hand off the forum here in 68" and a little lighter pull.  Loved the bow but wanted a 70" stick with a heavier pull.  So I sold it and ordered this one.   Will post pics next week when I get back.

"Have any of you ever wonderd what Craig would build, if you just gave him your spechs.
And told him to build what he thinks is the best shootin bow...."

I did that very thing. I told him I wanted it to be 58-60 pounds at 29", but other than that, build me what he thought was the perfect all around bow.  He sent me a 68" Halfbreed, two lams of bamboo sandwiched by two lams of yew and clear glass.  Texas ebony riser and elk skin handle wrap.

Mudd!  You rascal.    :saywhat:
Did you shoot those birds with a trad-gun??
  "[dntthnk]"

Mudd

Dang "T" don't pop my bubble...lol

I had myself convinced that I had walked far enough to have taken all those birds and more!!!!

The 1st picture I posted said....I was dead dog tired!!

The next picture was some of the finest folks anyone could ever ask to share a hunt or anything else with.

I only hit 3 and would say killed none but my quail.

I had a good chance at a clean kill on one but after someone threw their hat at the runner in an attempt to make it fly I was blinded by a reflective glare.....if you can't see, you can't shoot!...lol

I did my job of being a "great bad example" of how to shoot at pheasant.

More importantly than anything else(IMHO) was everyone had an awesome hunt and fellowship with like minded, top notch brothers of the bow.

God bless,Mudd

K-Jim, Sorry for the infection I gave you with that Miller.
It should clear up in a few days.

Yep, I'm 6'3" tall.  I have some "short" 30 1/2" arrows that 3rivers mistakenly cut for me and I'll pull the broadhead up on the shelf with those.  People don't really appreciate how different arrow shafts that long are dynamically very different that say a 28" arrow.   Us big guys need stiffer shafts than you normal people.

Nate asked if I'd make a video that would also show my groups.

I never claimed to be a great shot but you can see that for yourself...lol

I made this without any warm up, just walked out started the camera and here's what it looks like.
