I notice a lot of you guys are shooting with a back quiver. Are these compatible with using 3 blade broad heads or is that a no- no?

I use mine with snuffers, just nothing else in the quiver but the arrows. They can hang up a bit on the way out but not too bad. The back quiver is amazingly quiet when I'm moving slowly.

It was nice out yesterday, I shot all of my longbows. when I got to the 60 plus pounders, the Pete George and my Schulz bows, I realized that I am not in the market to buy any new bows. There is something about the speed, the smooth power without much shock and all with just a dacron string and shooting just 9 grain per pound cedar arrows to boot. Maybe someday when I can no longer shoot the heavier bows I will wish for a 45 pound Schulz, but I am not old enough for that yet.

Took my HH to the woods this morning. No squirrels. I managed to terrorize some rotten stumps though. No photos unfortunately  :(

Snapped this shot this morning by moonlight.  That's the top limb tip of my HH Halfbreed...

My back quiver flattens down like they should and I find 3 blades just don't work in it. Too hard to draw smoothly from the quiver.

I went hunting last week for the first time with my back quiver.  It was a bit stiff, and took awhile to start conforming to my back and quiet down.  But man, I love it!

Yep, Judos are a problem.  I've gone to Ace Hex blunts when using my back quiver now.  Pull easy and are a good stumpin' head.

Since, we are talking back quivers, go to the post..My Deer season is over...look out squirrels.

The last page, check out first pic, Billy shootin, look at his quiver! This is a true..Hill style, shape, Functional, back quiver!
Look at the bend, in the small of the back area, which collapses, to encase the arrows.

This is want ya want!

Yea, multi blade broadheads and Hill style quivers.... like Nascar and winecoolers

Louie Armbruster gave me a tip on back quivers years ago, when I asked how he go that soft spot in the middle of his back quiver. He said he soaks Neets GLOVE Oil from the inside where he wants the quiver to collapse.

That's exactly what I do too. I love judos, but they just don't like my back quiver. Ace blunts work great out of the quiver, but they will slip under the grass a bit more than judos. With a wrap of reflective tape I haven't lost one yet though.

I am shocked that some here might have learned to prefer two-blades.

Shocked I say! Simply Shocked!

For screw-in judos, I have two partition leather strands, one top and one bottom, for blunts. I use my judos for stumping. I unscrew them and keep them in my pocket, that way I don't have to fight to get it into my smaller compartment.  If I have wood arrows then I take it off push it round and then put the judo in, I don't have a problem pulling them out of the small end.
