Jesse, did that stiff quiver mold into shape preety well and carry quiet?

Eric

swampthing

Yes, it is not, technically speaking, "stiff."  It will stand up on its own yes, but, when it is worn it collapses nicely to the back. The old saying goes, if your arrows make too much noise your moving too fast.
I like it just fine. On a Hog hunt I was on the fast arrow retrieval came in handy.
Only downside is on warm days, that section of my back where the quiver is.....  dead leather don't breathe.

Rik

Well this changes things a bit. A once-in-a-lifetime tag, smack-dab in the middle of moose country right on the Wyoming border! Might just have to start slowing down on the bear hunting and spend some quality time scouting likely country.

Now don't get too excited, it's not a bull moose tag, it's a cow moose tag. Still. . . it's a MOOSE TAG! Wooo-hoooooo! Good eatin' ahead.

The last time I tried this it was for a bull. That was 10 years ago, and one arrow from my Wesley Special brought home a mountain of meat.

Can I do it again? Time will tell, time will tell. Let the games begin!

Ben Maher

bring it on Rik !!!

Looking forward to this mate !

Rik, I will try to not to be too jealousy as I enthusiastically read of your moose hunting exploits.  I am looking forward to where your adventure takes you!

I've been thinking a lot about a cow moose hunt in Wyo. Looking forward to the reports.

Congratulations on the moose tag Rik. Out of curiosity what draw weight was the Wesley you used to take that bull?

Rik- Congrats, Have any idea how much that bull weighed that you shot 10years ago? That must have been a heavy load, I hope your tuck was parked close by.

Well,  I was going to add some longbow inspired photos,  but photobucket won't let me in past the privacy policy page....some glich somewhere.

I shot my cow moose back in '05...she was aged at 8 years and needed a bull head form for her taxidermy mount

Nate, I have not been able to post on Photobucket for quite some time--no idea why.
