I use Limbskins on my hunting bows. They are a spandex material made by Alaska Bowhunting Supply. The reason I use them is they keep my bows from getting scratched up, keep glare from happening, and if you tap a arrow or a stick hits it, it will not make a sound. They are camo and that may not appeal to everyone but deer don't care if they are being shot by plaid, or camo patterns anyways.

apparently I am not a killer. I had 24 shots at game yesterday and not one kill. Longshots not so long shot, you name it, I missed every shot. You guys sure these longbows are all they are cracked up to be?

Pavan if all of those shots were at deer sized animals I'd say go back to the practice range...lol

If they were at house flies or bumble bees I'd want to know how close your misses were.

Pass shooting at doves. I had enough near misses that makes me think I am going out and trying it again today.

Bicster, do those spandex skins alter the way the bow shoots?

I'm not Bicster but I can tell you that they do not. The only down side to them(IMO) is they will pick up stick tites.

Oh yes, I hate those little tiny buggars that get in my wool socks, they go right through the weave. Got 'em my millions in our woods.

Mudd

I used to throw my stump shooting clothes with all the rest of the laundry until the complaints of them(stick tites) showing up in the absorption portion my the wife's drawers...lol

Just so you understand I'd never have let my hunting clothes get anywhere close to the regular laundry but just regular old woods and yard clothes were ok or at least I thought so until the crankiness started....lol

I hate it when I am spring turkey hunting and ticks show up in the absorption parts of my drawers. Right now I have two cockle bur silencers on my yew wood, it has never shot so quiet. maybe that's why I couldn't hit any doves.

Another good wax is Butchers Bowling Alley wax. It is a very hard wax as the name implies. A lot of the bamboo fly rod people use it. If your finish is flat or yellowed and dull and you want it glossy a good product is 3M Finesse it ll. It really works well and is easy to use. I had a old Trophy Hunter that the finish was yellowed and had stress cracks on the back. I used finesse it before the wax and it came out like new.

C'mon Ben, this is a special event! Not necessarily that Schulz bows shoot any better (some do); but, the fact they're made by THE MAN! Yours is circa perfect. Post up so others can see! I say it deserves a new thread.
