Anyone know how far he cut his bow in to center? I'm guessing 3/16 based off of other hill style bows I had but I'd rather be more sure.

I'm trying to figure out what test kit for surewoods I should get.

I draw 30" and the bow (once done refinishing) should be between 50-55lbs @ 28 inches. I'll need full length arrows because of my long draw.

Any ideas on either of these questions?

You'll be at 55-60# at 30" of draw.

A 30" BOP arrow with a 125-145 pt, a 65-70 should work. add 5# for each inch of arrow and 5# for 160 pt.

I would get a test kit of 65/70, 70/75, 75/80.

Even with the less than center shot cut of the Hill Style bow?

Yup, my Shelton is 55 at 29", it shoots a 30" 65# arrow with a 125 BH like lazer. It is 3/16 from center, close to 1/4" with trhe leather plate.

The 65-70 would be for a 30" arrow, for you that would put the BH right at the back of the bow. A longer arrow or heavier point will require a stiffer spine.

You said your bow will be 50-55 at 28"? so it will be 55-60 at 30"

Yep those are the specs. I won't know for sure until it's all done being worked on.

Man, that really surprises me that I need that much spine with it being cut so far from center.
