Hey fellas, Got any clue on where I can find an old type of fishing reel that wrapped around the riser or just above the riser on a recurve or longbow for fishing?? All you do is pop it on and off, takes about 3 seconds and you are ready to bow fish...I haven't seen one in years, but would love to have one. If you have one i can buy or lead me where I can find one that would be great!

Sounds like you are looking for an old Bear bow fishing reel. My cousin sold his last year. I haven't seen one lately, but sometimes they show up on the auction site.

Eric, the sping arm type? You could make a reel up in a pinch! Use a small coffee can or similar size and cuts some tabs and tape on. Or a small plastic bottle, short piece of 2"x4" etc. Use your imagination. There is a post on here of a shoot-thru reel made from a plastic bucket top!
Save your money for a good arrow and point, safety slide and polarized glasses! Get out there and have a Blast! I love bowfishing, Steve.
