What does everyone do with your old Traditional and PBS mags? I've got my back to 1987. Move 15 time since then, but still feel guilty everytime I consider getting rid of them.

I read old ones that I have not read in a while

I'm like you. I subscribed to Bowhunter mag since the late 70's, along with TB, PBS & Compton's. Its quite a stack of magazines. Someday I'm sure they'll all go in a big dumpster, but till I move, and I don't see that happening any time soon, they take up room in my basement near my shop.

I recently sold my collection of TBM to a friend. I am a charter subscriber and had quite a stack taking up room. It was a bit painful to part with them but I was lucky to send them to a good home.  :)

I subscribe to TBM, I have for 4 or 5 years but I wish I had every issue! if I did I would not part with any of them. I'm kinda partial to my mag's if you can't tell! HA! Jason

I have cartons and cartons of old magazines. "Bowhunter" magazines since I started subscribing in 1973, PBS for 24 years, Traditional Bowhunter since the first one (I have a letter to the editor in the first issue) Outdoor Life back to the 70's etc. I even have a few magzines from the 40's that I have gleamed over the years. I guess I'm a collector of sorts.

My wife says when am I going to thrown all this stuff away? I tell her to throw them or give them away after I'm gone. They provide a glimpse into sporting history.

I think I will give them to the youth at the youth bow shoot at the Rib MT bowmans club in Wausau WI the end of May.

I used to keep them all but figured they would be better in the hands of someone still in the discovery stage of traditional archery. I've taken what knowledge I needed and felt it best to pass it on. Sold the first 15 years to three Amish teens a few years ago at Baltimore Bowman. I would guess that those mags got read and passed on quite a bit and a lot of knowledge and enjoyment spread around rather than gathering dust in a closet.
Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!
