Goldtip 5575 VS 3555

I am sure this question has been asked ,but I use dial up and when I search anything to do with goldtips I get kicked off before it is done finding threads. I shoot a 60" 60@28 Great Northern Fireball. I draw exactly 28" I prefer to shoot an arrow that is no longer than 29" BOP. I do plan on loading as much weight up front as it takes to get me at least 600 grns total arrow weight. My question comes from the fact that everybody says the 5575's are incredibly stiff. So whats everybody's opinon 3555's or 5575's

I shoot 29" 5575 out of a 59# bow. Work good for me. I do have 350 grains up front. Jeff

29" should be fine use 100 gr brass inserts. To weaken them up and start with 125 tips and go up from there. They are not that stiff you might be better off keeping them at 30"for more flex then you can change tip weight accordingly.
it will get you closer to your 600 gr. goal too

3555 will be too weak or youll have to cut them too short

Before you start cutting, use them full length and bare shaft them first. If you wind up with a 30" arrow. I'm sure the game won't motice the difference. Arrow performance is more important than overall length. Good luck.

forget the 35/55's for your bow.
i shoot a 54# recurve with 55/75's at 31 1/4" (nock grove to BOP) with 350grs up front. 125gr b/head, 125gr adapter & 100gr brass insert. total weight is 615gr.
i'd say with this setup you'll find just what your looking for.

You want an arrow maybe an inch longer then your draw with a carbon that can be hit or miss.Carbons don't come in as many different spines as wood or aluminum.I would not cut a carbon until I shot it first and worked from there.There is plenty of used carbons for sale that were cut to a certain length and didn't work out.Start full length and trim and tune or add weight until you get the right dynamic spine that works for you,and the length they end up is where I leave my carbons.
