ok you woody guys,
i'm thinking about trying wood instead of carbon this year...

55#@26" super shrew deluxe longbow-
I want to shoot 125grn points and ideally,
have an arrow length of 27" back of point.
what spine arrows do i need?

Ron LaClair

If it has the 450+ string on it you'll need 65# shafts. The Shrew bows with their high performance 450+ strings like a stiffer arrow, 10 to 15# more in spine.    :readit:

I use 50-55 on my long bow. I have one thats 50# 28" and one thats 57# at 28". Flys great from both.

thanks ron, i tried some 60-65 bare shafts yesterday, and they were slightly weak, so a
65-70 should be perfect! thanks for all your help, and your right, they do need alot stiffer arrow than you would think. i tried some 50-55s and they were so weak , they were sideways at 20 yards.
