I was there in the summer of 1988 and mosquitos tried to fly away with my bicycle.  Guess they would be bad in November though 8^).

What unit? I was in 410 a couple of years ago which is fairly near by. Lots of good bulls there but VERY open terrain, tough country with a bow.

I used to live in Montana and hunted the area.  Hells Creek area is very productive for Elk, Turkey and Mule Deer.  Also, getting out in the main lake when the water is calm and glassing back to shore is another very productive method.  Take the only road north out of Jordan and follow the signs for Hells Creek.  Dry Creek is also productive for Mulies not so much elk.   Did you draw a non-resident tag?  I think you have to apply for an archery license up that way as well.  I know you have to for sure with rifle.  Hope this helps and I want to hear the story when you get back...

Ferret give me a email at trvsclayton@yahoo.com. I am real familliar with the breaks areas from hunting them and could get you going in the right direction. I also can get up to date inf on elk concentrations due to my stepfather being involved in the fwp committees on the breaks regions. Take care Travis
