BOWS    BOWS  The first Bow I made my riser to long and think there are some tiller issues the second bow the riser is to short but I think I did pretty good on the tiller. Your thoughts on where I can do better will be put into play on my next bow so be honest where I could use some work. Oh both bows are red oak board bows.

Leo L.

The top limb looks a little stiff on both of them.  Especially at the fadeout.

the first bow... the lower limb looks to have a hing near the fade..Top limb looks stiff.

the second bow top limb needs little more bend, then more bend near tips both limbs.

That's what I see

BHTGdogs

Yeah That hinge was a result of the band saw getting the better of me still not to good with it. LOL

I agree with the above comments but your second bow is just so much better than the first one that you should be very pleased and proud of your achievement.

BHTGdogs

I am pretty proud but would like to learn more.

on your long handle bow, do you have a shelf cut in or added? If not I would rise your hand up to hold the bow at center... This will help in balancing out the bow a little & you can put the stiffer limb on the bottom.
