I was grinding lams and found the outside edges on both lams was thin. Closer examination foud the bamboo sled had warped bowed up on both sides.
What do you guys used to keep the moisture from getting to them.
They are made of the vertical laminated planks and thin enough to flex length wise.
High on Archery.

I use g10 sleds from big jim's.. they work well enough.I think I paid 50 or so? I have 002 and 003, but mainly use my 002.

Stic. You could resurface them and spray them with whatever bow finish you are using.

I tried aluminum but they got warm and warped so I used black locust and I have been using it for years thousands of lams have gone over them. I only use a .002 and a parallel

Did you have them milled at a machine shop from 1/2" stock? or try to grind them yourself from thinner material?  I've used mine for many years now. i have a set of 4 sleds. .001. .002. .0015, and Par .518 X 4" that were machined.
