For a selfbow, I was always told to go with Dacron for the string, can you use fastflight, is it advisable, and what determines the choice?
Thanks,

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

try both...I actually prefer 450+ and that's all I use... if you can find any FF type string to try compare for yourself and see what you use from now on...  :)

For selfbows any of the "fast flight" dyneema materials work best.  Those thin strings really bring out the performance on selfbows, probably more so than glass bows, just build up the loop.

I use only B-50 for my bows. Has worked fine for many years. I have an osage selfbow from Dano and he only uses fast flight type string material. Some of his bows have tip overlays and some don't.
I'm also cheap so that's another reason I prefer B-50 over the FF types.

I use DF97, 10 strands with 16 strands in the loops. I like the way they shoot and feel with these strings.
