Well done!  Mind if I ask - treestand or ground?  Other details...?

"La fletcha" it was from a tree stand and the tip of the Treeshark poked out the off side just above the bottom corner of the ribs(8" lower than the entrance)  Fun thing about snow hunting is you get to setup where "all" the heavy trails are currently and eliminate the non traveled trails.  Its almost unfair.  The recovery was only 30yds.  Nothing better than a blood trail on the snow and a quick humane arrow.  No matter a big buck or a doe, for me, I really like to make a well controlled, accurate shot. The next morning I had 2 does and a 1 1/2 yr old 8 pointer come by at 8 yards. An easy pass up since I shot the doe last night.  They payed no attention to the heavy blood they walked over from the night before, which still always surprises me.
