Just purchased a bear 63 dogleg grizzly. Was researching it and saw some posts about a design flaw and some bow failures, just wondering if anyone had any more information on this? Thanks in advance.

The design flaw in the dog legs was limited to the K-Mags.  The issue cost Bear quite a bit though.  They changed the design at least twice on all the bows that year (Type 1 and Type 2 Grizzlies exist) despite the fact the actual issue was only on the K-Mags.

I have owned Dogleg Kodiaks and Grizzlys.  They are TREMENDOUS shooters.  I think they are faster than many other old bears.  If I could find a LH Dogleg Grizzly I'd snap it up myself, especially if type one.

If it looks like a sound bow I would enjoy it for sure.

I would not shoot a 1963 K-mag though!

I'm personaly an old Grizzly fan, and have not...

However, You might want to post this over on the collector's forum, for a more "experianced" answer!!!
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!
