Moscheveya Balka horn composite with bleached horn and birch bark over the sinew.  Working on building it now.  Should be done next year some time.

BowMIke

62" 50@28 Morrison Shawnee longbow with carbon/foam limbs. That would be my choice!
So smooth, fast and quiet.

If I was to have just "one" bow.  At this time it would be a Blueridge SR longbow.

53-55# at my 29" draw.

I would never camo dip or paint it, just pick wood combinations that are natural camoflauge.

Bocote, Cedar, Myrtle and others are already camoflauged.

Just coat it with a satin non high gloss finish.

It would look like I was in a really desperate situation where I had to sell off a bunch of other bows

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I have to think it would be Danny's 'Love Potion # 9". Great looking, and as shown, it is good for hunting.

Why spend big bucks for one of the "pretty" bows if you're going to paint or camo it. Seems rather senseless to me since there are so many excellent "non-pretty" ones out there at a much cheaper outlay. I have a Hummingbird Kingfisher TD in high gloss and no way am I going to paint or camo it. Took a couple of whitetails with it this year and "pretty" wasn't an issue. As someone said, "Life's too short to hunt with an ugly bow".
I don't spend big money on bows, I build my own.  I don't spray on camo for hunting.  Both are rather plain bows and were built with aesthetics being last in mind.  Both are excellent shooters.  There are seven others on the rack that range from plain to really great lookers, they just don't get shot as much.

None of them are "ugly" in my eyes.
