Been caught several times either hiking / hunting in cold downpours. Looking for a recommendation on a pack able
Poncho that is water proof. Thanks tom

Don't know if it's still made, but I picked one up from Cabela's several years ago.  This one has arms and a hood and folds into its own pocket about the size of half a football.  Has come in handy the few times I needed it.

Cabelas space rain jacket.  Stuffs into its own pocket, weighs next to nothing, very waterproof, reasonably priced and pretty tough.

Army surplus poncho. Can't beat the price!
Time spent alone in the woods puts you closer to God.

"Can't" never accomplished anything.

I don't do ponchos.  But I swear by the breathable Frog Togg brand rain jackets and pants that pack very small.

I spent two years on an island where it rained  8 feet per year  and rain gear was never more than a couple steps from your hands if you wanted to be dry and comfortable.  I'm still never more than a couple steps from my Frogg Toggs.

I see they now make ponchos as well.
