Thanks for all the tips. I am putting my quiver back on to give it another try.

Thanks, Randy

There is your answer- stay with what you are familiar with already.

Learn, practice and pass on "leave no trace" ethics, no matter where you hunt.

I much prefer a bow quiver with a fletch cover. The right quiver can always be removed if your on stand.Good luck in NM only 4 weeks to go.

I have never liked bow mounted quivers.  I use the Elite Bow Mate as it protects the fletches from the rain or dew and it keeps the arrows from catching on things.  It is also hard sided in case you trip, lashes nicely to the side of my pack and is the quickest and quietest way to withdraw an arrow when needed with minimal motion.

Safari-Tuff Arrowmaster for me--the most versitile quiver I've ever used.  Holds plenty of arrows, will hold different arrows (if you want to carry a blunt or two), a pocket for other small essentials if you are on a stalk, minimal movement to remove or replace an arrow, total arrow protection, quiet, works with or without a pack, proven in pretty much every type of hunting terrain.  I hate to think how much time and money I've wasted on different quivers over the years--the Arrowmaster is the best money I've ever spent on a hunting quiver.

Another vote for the Safari Tuff.  I use the Duiker exclusively.

Happy hunting,
