thinking of getting a light portable blind for deer hunting this fall saw the ghost blind and I like the idea but would like to hear from anyone with actual experience with it in the field.

thanks,

Me and a friend both have one.  He killed a doe last year from his.  I haven't taken anything from mine yet but they do work.  I've had turkeys walk right by me at 5 yards and never knew I was there.  I will be doing more hunting with it this year.  You do have to watch your head and top limb movement but if the animal sees that it is small movement and doesn't seem to spook like the movement of your whole body.  The only drawback is if the animal comes from behind.  I try to set it up where they don't come from behind or have brush to blind you from behind.

I used it this spring turkey hunting.  It is light weight but BULKY I am 5'10 160 and it stuck out on each side of me and above my head making it a pain in the brush.  Also even in a light wind it gets moving even when you stake it down.  I sold it after using this spring and am just going to stick to natural ground blinds behind me and a gorilla undertaker ground blind in front (some of the same negatives as above but less bulky to mover with and at $22 versus $200).  Your milage my vary but this was my opinion.
