OK... Some of this might be quite limited by age but what have been your experiences as to performance and shooting comfort with the short recurves.  I had a Super Mag 48 back in the late 60's.  I liked it. It shot well to my standards then.  I also had a SK so the SM finally got sold.  (Wish I had it now)

I guess I am really looking to compare new mad short bows with the SM....

What do ya know....

You like the Bear grip?
I love K-Mags.

I loved the bow and it shot well for me.  The grip was one I would like to duplicate on other bows...  Just shot the SK better...

Did you see my question for you on that other thread?

If you didn't see my answer on that thread, then I am fairly sure that you won't see this one either.   :p

Did you sell your SK too?
You started out by saying that you like the Supermag grip, and then dumped it for a Super K. Then you said that you shot the Super K better. I have never shot a Super K, is the grip a little lower than the Supermag?

That you shot it better is no surprise, regardless of grip. The higher mass weight and longer limbs would be a vast improvement over a 48" bow for holding on target and forgiving release flaws.

It just sounded to me that you liked the Bear grips, and a short, sweet-shooting, Bear-gripped bow, for me, is a K-Mag.

Killy:

Sorry.. lost my internet connection last night...
Yea, I saw your other post sorry bout that...

I was shooting a very quick "instinctive" release at the time and the Super Mag worked good but the SK worked better.. that all.. I loved both grips.  I like a deep grip like the Super mag had

Lord I wish I had both those bows back... Loved that black color...

Oh, stop being sorry!
Maybe you otta seek out those models and shoot them this summer. Will you be going to any shoots?

Could be a way to find out if it was true love, or if when you see her, you wonder what it was you used to see.   :dunno:

Actually, I have located a 69 Super Mag that is rated 45# and is in pristine condition.  In fact, it looks pretty much like it just came out of the box.

Its one of those "If" deals so it may be a bit before I get it but I will get it.

My reason is I want a short bow for turkey hunting.  There is certainly some nostalgia here.
