When you do find the help you need.....give him or her my name and send them over.......I have the same symptoms......   :biglaugh: !!!!!!!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Sounds familiar, until I bought a longbow for my wife.  We love doing 3D shoots together and she understands my obsession just a little better.

Thank God,I thought it was just me.  :knothead:

Not even joking here, but it sounds to me like you could stand to get rid of the wife.  Life is so much better without the constant strife.  Compatability issues suck.

Great read with many smiles. In all seriousness, how the heck did you get that Paratipi staked out. I'm sure shingle nails would work, but even a great woman might not see that as a good thing!

Nice tipi, you'll like it. Kifaru rocks...
Who cares what women think? These threads with grown men asking for "permission" to do things or sneak things in behind their wifes are annoying.
The wife should have her play money and the men should have his play money. The men should not care what she buys with her money and she should not care what he spends his for.
There is money spent for the family (food, rent, clothing etc.) and additional free money for the men and the wife. It is as simple as that. She should have her monthly personal allowance and the men should have it as well.
Then, you couldn't care less about her buying shoes and she shouldn't care about your toy spending. It is all a communication thing.
If she understands that the excess money is not all hers, but is split accordingly, where is the problem? If she does not understand the concept you know what to do...pull the line!

Fun post. some of it sounds familiar.

The standard line with wife #1 was that I don't spend it in bars. Turns out, she wanted more time in the bars.    "[dntthnk]"

Wife #2 just knows it's a passion of mine. No problems. Much improved with wife #2 - a keeper. Good luck to you guys with yours. Whatever works for ya.     :)
If man were to know everything in advance, there would be no such thing as adventure!

I put up a Dark Horse blind in the foyer before the UPS man was out of sight!

My wife just shakes her head when she comes into the living room some times and I'm watching TV with a bow across the arms of the chair.

If you need a shrink he'd better get a sectional instead of a couch for your friends!

No doubt about it, the wife is being unreasonable.

Ok, for a couple who missed the tongue-in-cheek humor of my post- I'll fill ya in.

My wife is a traditional bowhunter too, obviously not nearly as obsessed with it as me, and definitely not an elk junkie.

She shoots a Thunderstick III, pretty well I might add, as well as a Red Wing Hunter recurve.
Dead eye with her smokepole too. She tolerates my obsessions, but sure doesnt miss a chance to poke fun at me whenever she gets the chance.

Shes my #1 deer huntin partner, we spend a lot of time together in camp chasin whitetails.

But she still says I need help lol!
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

John my friend, you've got way too much time on your hands now that you're 'retired'. You're a lucky man to have a wife like you do and time to pursue your passion.  Bugling and setting up the tent in the livingroom is OK but just don't start practicing your fire starting skills on the carpet!

Howard

You do need help! You forgot to stake it down, amateur.
