Not exactly a "high country" stream, In fact when I used to live on that river, the section I lived on was permanently brown from all the Mud.  There are a lot of areas that look like you would find trout.  It is a beautiful river none the less and has much to offer other than Carp and turtles.   :campfire:

great fish.i've had those turtles eat a whole stringer of bluegills and crappies.just left the heads.i'm with the other guys,it would be cool if you were in the painting.

Nice pics Curt. I do a lot of bowfishing in Lake Champlain from my canoe in the spring but am intrigued by the river fishing you do from your many posts about it. That river looks very shallow and obviously rocky. Do you find carp in there all the time? What are there favorite places to hang in that kind of terrain?

Yep turtle is great eating and a lot easier to clean than most people think.
Carp on the other hand are great fun shooting.
Many have died for my freedom.
One has died for my soul.
