I think Kenetrek has a fine boot, though I've never owned any of them. I don't think I will ever buy a pair either, and that's no slam on Kenetrek.

Schnee's has consistently outperformed EVERY other online or catalog retailer I've ever dealt with. As a company I rate Schnee's 10/10 for accuracy, honesty and quality. Their pac boots are the best (of their type) in the world....in my world anyway!

Mr. Dill is right on the Schnee's pac boots! They are the best from the accurate description to the quality of the product. And yes... They are made in the USA!

The only issue I have of boots with "air bob" soles is that they don't go all the way to the outer edge, thereby you losse some suport side-hilling, or rocking etc. Also the air bob type soles stick very firmly below the grait on a tree stand which locks you in, but can make sliding your foot over as you rotate for a shot in another direction a little more dificult (noisy). I'm just saying Schnee's have the bob and the Kenetreck have "K" like a soft vibram.

Mike,

I get fully what you're describing. The current generation of air bob soles from Schnee's are different than those of years past. They actually have a full outer rim of cleats (blocks) which support the entire sole. I used to have the soles you describe, and these are a nice improvement for use in climbing, side-hills, and stands.

Kevin,

which style boot is that in the pic? I've been looking at the Schnee's but dont feel real comfortable about the rubber bottoms....

It's the Hunter II in bison leather. Not exactly sure what your uncertainty relates to, but my advice would be to call Schnee's and ask to speak to a boot specialist. This company has never given me anything but straight-up solid advice and knowledge.

I see there is a difference in soles now. Thanks Kevin.
