Does anyone on here shoot banana cut and if so do you have any arrow flight problems?

I am in the tuning process and using arrows with 3 5 1/2 in banana cut feathers. Don't want to complicated things with feathers that could be causing flight issues! But am limited to what I can get my hands on right now.

Just wondering who uses em and how they shoot!

CJC

i use them exclusively.  no problems.  if you are having flight probs with fletched arrows then your tuning is way off.  the cut of the feathers should not matter as long as things are properly tuned.

I use them in different sizes and they fly great. They will really stabilize an arrow quick. The only cons, depending on what you like, is with a lot of helical they are sometimes not as quiet as some prefer, and may cost you a few FPS, but I enjoy that big blurr of spinning feathers flying down-range. I cut them a little smaller for hunting arrows. No issues as far as tuning with them.

I adjusted my chopper to make them quite a bit smaller. The flight is excellent and the arrows aren't noisy or slow.

I have been using a 5.5 with a lot of helical. Although I have killed deer with them ,this past season I noticed a couple of deer and a few javelinas dodged my arrows (selfbow). I am now using my own 4.5 low back bannana. Quiet and still great stabilization and flight on 190gr broadheads.

I use 5.5 with no problems. I prefer them, but since I do not make my own arrows, hard to find.

I like to use 5" low profile.  It cut's down on the noise vs the 5 1/2" high profile.

I agree that they are noisy but if you are having flight issues it is not the feathers. Those big nanners stabilize an arrow real quick. if I wanted to shoot a 2" dia. broadhead they would be my choice. I shot them for years but they were a bit noisy and i went to a low shield cut. Shawn

I used to shoot 5.5 high profile but that's just too much in my opinion. 4" would be fine and yes, the higher they are, the more likely they'll have clearance issues. If tuned well the only time that will happen is a poor release...O.L.
