Just acquired a Darton Ranger 58" 45# 50B with an 8 stamped on the limb just below the grip. Not sure what type of string to get for this bow. I read that the newer Rangers (90's) take fast flite strings also read I need to use B50/B55 dacron.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Skeeterlegs

I have a Ranger, mine is 55# @28' I use a 12 strand B50 Flemish twist string but you could also use an AMO 58" string which would be about 54". I wouldn't use Fast Flight since the tips aren't reinforced. The sticker on mine was gone when I bought it in a pawn shop in 1990 so I don't know the year of production exactly The catalog doesn't say what year but I believe it is late 70's
