I wish I could say it was me who killed with this bow.  This is a bow our own Kenny McKenzie built for me just a a few weeks ago.  A really sweet 58" R/D longbow only drawing 44@28.

My buddy Martin has had two of my bows.  The bow he's hunted with the last two years is the first Ossabaw that I made.  That is my pronounced r/d longbow.  He drove off from his hunting grounds a couple of weeks ago with it on the roof of the truck, and hasn't seen it since!  He was bow-less and needed something to hunt with.  We met at our small lease last weekend on Sun aft.  I handed him Kenny's bow and he asked me if it would kill a deer.  I told him of the critters I've killed with the same weight straight bows, and then told him that one would shoot the same arrows 20 fps faster.  That satisfied him.

Wednesday he killed his first traditional deer with Kenny's bow!

Friday he killed his second!

I think Martin has laid claim to this bow. Might need to get Kenny to make you another one of them bow swappin' bows, so you will have one.  :dunno:

That is by far the best way to show some respect and appreciation to the bowyer that has built it ! I would never take a bow out in the woods if I was not 200% confident that this is a very fine bow.

That is a nice way to break in a new bow.  Martin is a lucky man to have a friend like you. Thanks for sharing that is a nice story, thanks for sharing.

I think you posted this in the right place, Marty.  We all knew KennyM does it right and know we know your buddy can put it to use, as well.
