I had the day off due to bad weather this morning and decided to hit the woods when the rain let up. There was another storm expected for this evening and I knew the deer would feed between the periods of bad weather. I drove out to my favorite spot and stalk area which contains a series of high ridges that extend for 3/4 of a mile. The sun came out for the afternoon and all the fall colors where so intense, it was like being thrown into a trippy dream. 100 yds into the woods and my right eye caught the brownish tan oval shape of a deer. The wind was blowing hard and in my favor. I crept up to within 30 yds of the doe when she whipped her head my way. I had to act fast cause I knew she'd be out of there in a flash. I pulled back on my 50# Shrew Sabertooth and watched my 160 grain Snuffer tipped cedar arrow just barely sail under her armpit. Four inches higher and I'd be processing venison!   :goldtooth:
Just one more step please!

You know where I'm at, ground pounding.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
