Lost a icon today

I see in news RE Emory passed away from complications of Pneumonia today. For those who don’t know he was a real DI long before the movie. Although we didn’t “eat the same dirt” in Viet Nam I consider him a fellow Grunt.

I met him also. Had my photo taken with him and when we shoot hands he handed me one of his challenge coins.
