PowWow / Jim Reynolds "THUNDERSTICKS"
« Last post by toddster on Today at 02:49:01 PM »
On here we have had some great collection's, like HH bug bit me, and Bear.  I figure it was about time to honor a bowyer who made several bows that many of us loved, the Thundersticks by Jim Reynolds.  I would like this to be a collection of pics, models, discussions about them and Jim himself.  Jim made the Thunderstick, the Thunderstick II, Thunderstick III, ThunderMag and the MOAB, I think he made a Recurve too.  But this is the point of the thread to honor him and his great bows.

For me my Sunset Hill was my all around favorite, killed a lot of animals with it, sweet draw, quiet and points when I aim.  Right under it, with nose in butt is my Norther Mist American.  I love this bow, grip fits me littler better, has to me more cast, and throws a heavy arrow with authority, and quiet.

PowWow / Asbell Wool ordering/shipping process
« Last post by timbo749 on Today at 02:23:59 PM »
Hey all, can someone explain the ordering/shipping process? I placed an order on 7/11, got a shipment notification on 7/19 with a tracking #, but they still have not dropped it with USPS, I know it's a small family operation, but it seems like it should be shipped by now, I just wanted to get an understanding before I ask for my money back or should I just wait, Thanks!

Also, if you are typing a post and someone else types a reply, it will prompt you when you hit submit that someone else had replied. If you don't have submit again it won't post. Could have been the problem as well.

I use a thermacell when hog hunting in the SC swamps and it was a life saver for a Canada bear hunt.  If there’s anything better out there I sure haven’t heard of it.  Luckily, mosquitoes have not been much of a problem since moving to the mountains so I don’t use the thermacell when hunting locally.

PowWow / Groundhogs, in the trees, and Mosquitos!

Been hunting a particular groundhog!
He's  not cooperating. I first spotted in a small tree, back early May, as I was JRB SRT Tree Climbing, a large maple.
So, setting up to access a tree, Tuesday afternoon, and noticed the swarm of skitters around me.
I have a Thermacel and use alot when squirrel hunting, what are you using?
Anything new out there!

No Terry, no blame, just service in my part of the world!
I will say, does seem to be an issue communicating, understanding, breakdown, on the Internet, as a whole, not just Tradgang!
Have a great day!

The bow is actually a Right Hand bow.  Held with the left hand but a Right Hand bow.

4’ 10” makes it a 56” bow

45xx@28 is 47 pounds at 28 inches of draw

You’ll need a string for a 56” recurve which will actually be about 52” long.

You can replace the shelf material with a piece of adhesive backed Velcro.  Grab some arrow and go have some fun.
