That dress would clash with the pink chaps.

Looks like a nice group, Pat. Can't believe you have not shaved in 50yrs! If you ever go on the Lam, shave it and you will never be ID'd.

Got to say, that pink bow has a nice arc to it for a long riser ASL. Must be something special about it Roy, cause your gripping it like you have a intimate relationship :bigsmyl:

I think the red Bloodwood powerlam goes well with the dark Lignostone. Handle comes next.

The bloodwood is pretty neat stuff and fairly stiff.

Never heard of Lignostone before. Interesting stuff. The MOR,MOE and crushing strength are all similar to Osage. It's like plywood on steroids.

Lignostone is densified Beech wood. Somehow a synthetic resin have been applied and the wood have been compressed (with heat I think)
It makes a wood that have almost no voids in it. The mass weight goes from normal Beech’s 0,71 g/cm3 to 1,35 g/cm3.
The boards I have is solid boards 8mm thick and are 60 years old. Here in Norway the material was used as edges on wood skies.
It is very strong in both tension and compression.
Being so heavy it is probably not the ideal bow wood, but it can be used in designs that most woods can not take.
It is still made today, but only in veneer form and not in the board form that I have.

drilled out my form and added dowels, glued up a base for it, its wet from cleaning off excess glue ,,
im thinking maybe I ought to take out the 3rd and forth dowel from the left
and drill 2 larger holes to take "C"-clamps ??
opinions welcome
,

cheers
John

John, no big curves on wedges so I think you will be fine with bands. Buuut, I’ve only done one with bands...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Bue that's a pretty bow, John won't be long before your gluing up ,your form looks good I never did rubber bands only clamps or air hose !
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!
