Hmmm what if a guy had a whole lot of that and cast it in clear resin for a riser block ?

Makes excellent fire started if you have a wood stove or fireplace, Bue.

Hey Stic I know a Bowyer who's done that. Puts all kind of things in resin. I think it's the same outfit, Mike from Sauk Trail Archery, check them out.

Yeah it is not that hard to do. Need a pressure pot and compressor. The big cost is the resin. And I think they charge by the oz. of weight gain of the wood.

This past weekend I layed down all templates I will need for the take down handle.
Made a couple strings. While doing this, I was trying to find a way to easily cut the added material for the loops. And ended up just adding an extra nail on the right end. Pretty easy, I should have thought about this before  :knothead:

OK you guys are going to think I'm goofy(if you did not already), but I have a Woodpecker and Flicker problem. They are turning my siding into splinters! So I came up with this solution, I don't want to kill them, just scare the crap out of them. But in the process I discovered an excellent training tool. The motions involved are almost exactly like shooting a long or self bow. I'm thinking I will be out plinking to keep my shoulders in shape. Would be an excellent rehab or PT exercise with weaker bands.
