Knapped a point today
« on: October 07, 2020, 10:31:54 PM »
Been on active duty orders for a few weeks in Ga. now for a few weeks. I brought my knapping gear and some rock with me. It has been a long time since I have busted any rock. It has been slow to come back to me. I knapped this point from a slab today. I have started using indirect percussion and it has really sped up my slab work. The base ended up having some step fractures so I couldn't get it thin enough to notch so i made a stemmed point to hunt with.

Very nice work.  Look better with a little red on it...  Is that Texas rock?
