Have any of you ever hunted that area?  Would like to hear some stories on how it went. Thanks

You might try contacting some of the TAO members.

Based on Odfw's tag allocation numbers, I doubt the deer numbers are that great.

I saw some good bucks in the silvies unit last August. There were several large burns 6 years ago and the deer population exploded.

I've hunted the Trouts twice with my youngest son. The first year we pulled two P&Y bucks out and the second year we both had a single opportunity at a forky (two different bucks) and we both missed! Not a real concentrated population!

Thanks for sharing. What years did you hunt?

Haven't checked this forum in a while, but I've hunted the Trout Creeks starting in 2012 before the Halloway fire and the out years (13, 14, 15, & 16).
I usually spend a little more than a week out there; deer numbers don't seem to be affected following the fire.  I've put on some of the best miles out there on stalks and have yet to pull a deer down (been within shooting range often).
It is what it is
