I have an 8 year old daughter Ellye that is outside "shooting" my 45lb recurve right now.  I have her enrolled in an archery class through home school, but it's using a Genesis compound that we can't bring home.  She loves being outside with me and my recurve and longbow.  I'd love for her to be able to shoot a quality longbow before the compound ruins her on trad.  Thanks
